CELEBRATE READING
"The performance
was wonderful. I
could tell that the
students enjoyed
listening and
participating. Your
positive message
and enthusiasm for
reading is inspiring."

“The program,
CELEBRATE READING,
that you presented last
Friday was excellent. It
was not only
entertaining for
everyone but also
reinforced our continual
message for students
to ‘Keep on Reading.’
We wish you continued
success.”

-School Superintendent
CELEBRATE READING is a high participation
sing-along, clap-along reading incentive concert
that celebrates books, authors, book characters
and all the joys of reading. It is usually done in
two assemblies, one for lower grades and one
for upper grades.

CELEBRATE READING can also be done
successfully as one whole-school show or as an
evening show. And the concert works perfectly
for public libraries as well. The length of the
concert is approximately 40 minutes.

CELEBRATE READING is:

-The perfect kick-off for reading incentive
programs such as PARP, Book-IT, RIFF,
Read
Across America and others.

-
The perfect finale for celebrating successfully
reached goals set in reading incentive programs.

-The ideal entertainment for literacy nights.

-Perfect for generating interest in book fairs.

-A very effective end-of-the-year concert that
encourages students to read all summer long and
to participate in the school or the public library's
summer reading program.
(See LET'S KEEP
READING under special versions of CELEBRATE
READING below.)

-Great for summer reading programs. (See

versions of CELEBRATE READING below.)
“I just wanted to let
you know how much
the students and
faculty enjoyed your
program. The
students in grades
4-6 remember every
book and author you
mentioned.”

We All Love To Read
LET'S KEEP READING
LET'S KEEP READING is a special end-of-the-year version of
CELEBRATE READING that puts a special emphasis on reading all
summer long, participating in summer reading programs and visiting the
public library often. The format of the assembly is the same as
CELEBRATE READING with singing, hand-clapping and
hand-movements as well as listening and answering questions about
the many books heard in the songs.
Below are special
versions of
CELEBRATE READING.
“My students
absolutely loved
your electric guitar
and I loved the way
that you continually
asked them
questions about the
many books that
you sang about. It
actually made the
performance
resonate with the
students. They not
only participated
but they were truly
engaged as well.
Wonderful
assembly!!”
